Growing Broccoli – gardening tip

ImageThis is todays pick off one plant, the plant is over 6 months old. My husband has 6 of these plants and gets this off each one every 10 – 14 days. After you cut the main head off leave the plant to grow new shoots. My husband always did this then started experimenting with pruning off the older leaves and branches. This is the result, beautiful new heads keep coming and there is no sign of them stopping any time soon. Another plus was right through summer none of these plants bolted or went to seed with the heat.ImageThis photo shows the size of the plant trunk and how he has pruned them.
